   The Blue Lias Inn

The Blue Lias Inn

 Food & Drink

A place to relax.

The inn was originally an 18th century farmhouse. It first became an inn when the early canal travellers stopped for evening refreshment and overnight stabling for their horses. Named after the Blue Lias clay quarried in the local area and featuring the Brontosaurus on our sign in a nod to the Jurassic era fossils found amongst the clay, you won’t come across another pub like it.

Today, the Blue Lias Inn has been owned by the Stafford Family since 1984. Known for it’s great beer, beautiful garden alongside the Grand Union Canal and Christmas decorations that would put Lapland to shame, the Pub is still going strong over 37 years later.

We are also home to a peaceful and spacious caravan site, as well as a the beautiful fishing location that is the Stockton Reservoir. The area is surrounded by many a delightful walk, either up and down the canal or through the tranquil Warwickshire countryside.

So why don’t you come down, enjoy a refreshing beverage and a hearty meal whilst you watch the canal boats go by and forget about life for a while.
